Jace Wilkerson threw a shutout to lead Knightstown Panthers past Southwestern Shelby 16-0 on Monday.

Knightstown Panthers secured the victory thanks to 14 runs in the second inning. Knightstown Panthers big bats were led by Michael Roberson, Wilkerson, Brayden McDaniel, Keelan Walters, Dalton Scott, Kelton Weaver, and Bryce Gorman, who each had RBIs in the inning.

A single by Fralich in the second inning was a positive for Southwestern Shelby to break up the no hitter.

Wilkerson was the winning pitcher for Knightstown Panthers. He went three innings, allowing zero runs on two hits, striking out seven and walking zero.

Knightstown Panthers tallied nine hits on the day. Wilkerson and Weaver all managed multiple hits for Knightstown Panthers to lead the team. Knightstown Panthers was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error and stole eight bases during the game as three players stole more than one. Gorman led the way with two.
