The Lady Panthers had a Very uncharacteristic game of mistakes on routine plays vs Shenandoah and paid the price losing 6-1. Sidney Vise and Jess Butler did a great job of pitching and calling the game, allowing only 4 Raider hits, but the Panthers had 8 errors on mostly routine plays that led to all 6 runs being officially unearned runs. Knightstown couldn’t get the timing of the pitcher of Shenandoah for the majority of the game, but did collect 5 hits in the last two innings, yet could only muster one run out of them. Jess Butler led the offense with 2 hits and the lone RBI. In the consolation game the Panthers defeated Blue River 13-0 in 5 innings while playing all 16 healthy players. Vise and Trinidie Newby combined for 8 strikeouts and allowed 1 hit. Leading the offense were Emily Adams with 3 hits, with Makaila Collins, Butler, and Newby all adding 2 hits. The Lady Panthers end the regular season 15-11, and face Irvington Prep at 7pm Monday at Heritage Christian in the first round of Sectional play.
