The Panther wrestlers had another successful weekend at Wapahani High School on Saturday the 21st. The team repeated as the Invitational Champions and had five wrestlers bring home individual awards.

First, against host Wapahani, the team collected a 60-16 win. Winning by pin for the Panthers were Kenny Hanna (132), Nick Walsh (138), and DeAndre Rose (220). The team also picked up seven forfeits to coast to a win.

Against the Shenandoah Raiders for the second time in two weeks, the Knightstown grapplers prevailed 49-30. Jared Richardson (126) won by fall, as did Justin Lane (145), and Aiden Orcutt (182). Senior Nick Walsh took a major decision 14-4 and Liam Orcutt (220) gutted out a close match for 3 team points. Another four forfeits for the Panthers secured the victory.

In round three, against a short-handed Randolph Southern team, the Wrestling team coasted to a 69-6 victory. Senior Jared Richardson took a decision 16-9. The rest of the Panther team points were again awarded by forfeit.

In the last match of the day, the Varsity Wrestling squad secured the Raider Rumble championship with a victory against Eastbrook, 53-21. Junior Kenny Hanna and Senior Justin Lane took first period pins, while Nick Walsh continued his dominant day with a 16-1 tech fall.

Winning their weight classes on the day were, Kalen Carter (113), Kenny Hanna (132), Nick Walsh (138), Aiden Orcutt (182), and Co-Champions Liam Orcutt and DeAndre Rose at 220.
