An early lead helped Knightstown Panthers defeat BRMS Cubs 12-5 on Friday.

Knightstown Panthers evened things up at one in the bottom of the first inning when Charlie Hastings singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run. The Panthers secured the victory thanks to ten runs in the second inning from singles by Dalton Scott, Kelton Weaver, Brayden McDaniel, a groundout by Brock Loveall, an error on a ball put in play by Jace Wilkerson, a double by Keelan Walters and another by Scott..

Scott started on the hill for Knightstown Panthers allowing one hit and one run over three innings, striking out three. Walters and Wilkerson pitched in relief allowing 5 hits, 1 ER and 4 strikeouts,

Knightstown Panthers totaled 12 hits in the game. Bryce Gorman, Scott, and McDaniel all managed multiple hits to lead the Panthers. Knightstown Panthers stole 15 bases during the game as five players stole more than one with Gorman leading the way with three.
