Knightstown High School vs Waldron High School
3 3

After getting rained out for their much anticipated first match, KIS Tennis players were ready to get their season started. Rain cut this match against Waldron short, but the boy’s team pulled out a victory at the time the match was called.
Last year’s doubles players Hunter Steimel & Brayden McDaniel , proved they will be strong at taking over 2 of the singles positions this year.
S1 Singles: Hunter Steimel lost 2-7 in his first singles match to a tough opponent.
2 Singles: Brayden McDaniel won his first singles match 4-3 in a match with great rallies
3 Singles: Jace Wilkerson won 7-2 in his first tennis match ever showing he can hold his own on the court.
1 Doubles Ethan Woods & Baylor Hogan lost 4-8 in their first tennis match ever, but played well and showed much promise for a successful season.
2 Doubles: Mike Ott & Jeffrey Alexander won their debut match 5-2, playing really well together and staying focused.
Girls: After graduating all but 1 player from last year’s roster to the high school program, Jacey Hollars has moved from her doubles position last year and is now facing the toughest opponents at 1 singles. She lost 0-8, but showed great promise in her new singles position, having nice long rallies and staying in the point.
