A walk-off left Knightstown Panthers on the wrong end of a 4-3 defeat to Rushville Cubs on Tuesday. BRMS trailed 3-2 in the bottom of the seventh inning when Thompson doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.
BRMS Baseball Club Cubs captured the lead in the second inning. Barnes doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.
In the top of the fifth inning, Knightstown Panthers tied things up at two when an error by the catcher trying to pick off Brayden McDaniel at 3rd, scored one run for Knightstown Panthers.
Barnes led things off on the hill for BRMS Baseball Club Cubs. He allowed four hits and three runs over seven innings, striking out six.
Keelan Walters started the game for Knightstown Panthers. He went five and a third innings, allowing two runs on eight hits and striking out nine. Jace Wilkerson threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Brayden McDaniel went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Knightstown Panthers in hits.
