After dealing with all KHS athletics being temporarily paused and a number of cancelled events, the Panther wrestlers were finally able to start their season at New Castle High School. The short-handed squad started only five wrestlers on the day, so team competition was at a disadvantage. The team wrestled five teams on the day: Frankton, Ft Wayne South Side, Shelbyville, Pendleton Heights, and host New Castle.

While the team went 0-5 on the day, the Panthers were still led by their seniors Ben Newby and Mason Muncy. At 182 lbs, Newby went 4-1 on the day with 2 pins and only losing one match by a single point. Meanwhile at 195 lbs, Mason Muncy fought through injury to a 3-2 finish with a team-leading 3 pins. Also picking up team points on the day were Sophomore Jake Ottinger and Junior Jaime Tully, collecting forfeits for the team.

The Panther wrestlers will be in competition next at KHS on Dec 12th for the Henry County Duals.
