The Panther Wrestling Team finished a strong performance at the TEC Tournament with a second place finish and 2 individual champions.
Winning 1st place for Knightstown were Aiden and Liam Orcutt. At 182 lbs, Senior Aiden Orcutt dominated the competition, taking three pins in as many matches. 195 pound Junior Liam Orcutt followed suit with two pins in the first two rounds, and controlled his opponent 5-1 in the final match.
Also representing the Panthers in the championship match was Senior Nick Walsh at 138 lbs taking second place Nick won his semi-final match by fall before dropping a 2-0 heart-breaker in the final match.
Contributing to the Knightstown team score were six other Panthers taking home a 3rd place ribbon. Noah Cook, Kalen Carter, Caiden Smith, Jared Richardson, Justin Lane, and DeAndre Rose all fought back in the consolation rounds for a place on the podium.
Knightstown is in action again February 1st at the IHSAA Sectionals at Tri High School. Wrestling will begin at 9 am.
