It came down to the last play, but Knightstown Intermediate School Panthers was on the wrong end of a 7-6 defeat to Lapel on Tuesday. The game was tied at six with Lapel batting in the bottom of the fourth when Roberts singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
Knightstown Intermediate School Panthers collected two hits and Lapel had nine in the high-scoring affair.
Scott took the loss for KIS Panthers. He surrendered two runs on three hits over two-thirds of an inning, striking out two and walking one.
Carson Smith started the game for the Panther allowing six hits and five runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out seven.
