Football Winter Conditioning

The off-season has started!  We have began training for the 2015 football season.  We have goals already for next season, and it will start in the weight room! ** Monday/Tuesday/Thursday ** 3:30 – 5:00 pm ** All high school football players and KIS grades 7-8 NO – EXCUSES / WE=POWER

The Varsity Cheer Squad took home the Class D State Title, once again! The squad competed as Southport Fieldhouse Saturday afternoon in the State Competition.  This is the third time in three years this squad has accomplished this feat.  Congratulations Ladies! 2012 Champs!   2013 Champs! 2014 Champs!

All Conference Announced

Mid Hoosier Conference and Mid Indiana Football Conference All Conference names were recently announced.  They are as follows: MHC All -Conference: Megan Rose – Golf, Kori Biehl – Volleyball MIFC All-Conference: Zach Fields, Ben Haase, and Tyler Richardson. MIFC Scholarship Recipient: Derek Heim Congratulations to these student-athletes on their accomplishments!

Reminder: Parent Meeting

Just a reminder: There will be a mandatory parent meeting on Thursday Oct. 30th at 7pm in the high school auditorium.  This will be a meeting for any student-athlete grades 7-12 interested in participating in winter sports.  Once our Athletic Parent meeting concludes, each sport will break off into their individual sport parent meetings.

Panthers drop Tri

The Lady Panther Volleyball team defeated the Tri High Titans last night 3-1 in the final home match of the season.  The Lady Panthers won set 1 25-13, set 2 25-18, dropped set 3 18-25, and won set 4 25-23.  The Lady Panthers take the win and momentum into sectional play Tuesday night at 7pm

Volleyball falls to Hagerstown

The Lady Panther Volleyball team lost to Hagerstown last night in a close match 3-0.  The Lady Tigers took set 1 and 2, 25-21 and 25-23, respectively.  Set three was taken by the Lady Tigers 25-20.  Both teams will meet again Tuesday night (10/21) in the opening round of sectionals held at Knightstown High School.

Volleyball Sectionals Announced

Monday morning, the IHSAA released the tournament for volleyball.  All games will be played at Knightstown High School.  The schedule is as follows: Tuesday October 21st at 7pm Hagerstown vs Knightstown Thursday October 23rd at 6pm Eastern Hancock vs Union County immediately followed by Centerville vs Cambridge City. Football Sectional Announced

On Sunday night, the IHSAA released the draw for the State Football Tournament.  Your Knightstown Panthers will play at Winchester on October 24th at 7pm.  If you have any questions, please call the Athletic Office. For a full bracket, go to www.ihsaa.org and click on football.
