Panthers News · What a Fall IHSAA Sports Season!


Wow, what a fun and exciting fall for Panther Athletics!  It has been a great fall for Panther and Lady Panther IHSAA Athletic Teams.  Below is a list of just some of the accomplishments this fall for IHSAA competing athletic teams! Hopefully more awards and accomplishments will follow this list at a later date! GREAT job student-athletes and coaches for all your hard work this fall!

Athletic Department Initiatives

~Created the Panther Athletic Council (working towards Champions Together)

~Introduced the Panther Athletic Ambassadors

~Week long initiative for the Ronald McDonald House Charity

~Student Attendance being FREE to all home, non-tournament events

Cross Country

~Liz Moore won the County CC Meet

~Emma Moore place 4th and Josiah King placed 5th in the County races, respectively

~Girls Team won the Eastern Hancock Invite

~Liz Moore, Emma Moore, and Josiah King competed in the Regional Meet

Girls Golf

~Daisy Hoffman was the County Champion and earned All-Conference

~All 7 girls improved their scores from the first meet to the last meet

Football

~Finished the Regular season 8-1

~Won the Plow and Anvil Trophy

~Co-TEC Champions

~Advanced to the Sectional Semi-Final

~Devyn Schaetzle broke the school record for most PAT’s in a season

~Jose Olivo and Kyler Burchett set (or came very close) multiple other school records

Girls Soccer

~1st ever Sectional game victory

~Jessica Butler earned Academic All-State

~Abby Arnold and Liz Moore were Honorable Mention Academic All-State

Boys Tennis

~Finished the Regular season UNDEFEATED

~TEC Regular Season AND Tournament Champions

~Henry County Champions

~Sectional Champions for the first time since 1992

~2 Individual Conference Champions

~3 Individual County Champions

~AJ Dalton – All District and All-State Honorable Mention

Volleyball

~2nd place in the Lady Panther Volleyball Invite (8 teams)

~Henry County Runner Up (went 5 sets)

~Sectional Runner Up

~Elexus Goodpaster earned Academic All-State

~Rena’ Witham broke the school record for aces in a season AND career

Cheerleading

~Advances to the IASP Cheerleading State Finals!
