HAMILTON HEIGHTS CROSS COUNTRY

Date: Thursday, August 30th
Time: 5:30 pm
Location: Hamilton Heights – Course located between the Elementary and Primary Buildings on State Road 19, south of the High School.

ARRIVAL
When your team arrives, you will unload in front of the K-2 Primary Building. (From SR 19, drivers will turn WEST on 256th street, and take an immediate left into the Primary driveway. Your bus will then need to park on the East side of the building)

REPORTING OF TEAMS
Coaches are to check with the meet director at the posted check-in location. Coaches will be given a package containing course map and scoring materials.

TEAM AREAS
All tents or team gathering areas will be east of the K-2 building. All tents need to be AWAY from the school building and playground equipment. We expect athletes to be supervised. Please do not allow them to loiter in the school building.

RESTROOMS
There will be restrooms available on the southeast side (Door S) of the K-2 building.

CLEAN UP
We ask each school to please make sure your team has all its belongings and trash picked up before leaving. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping the course, school, and nature area clean.

PARTICIPATING SCHOOLS
Burris (Muncie), Clinton Central, Elwood, Knightstown, Lapel, Shenandoah, Sheridan, Taylor, University, Western Boone, Hamilton Heights.

TIME SCHEDULE
 4:45 p.m. Complete check-in; course walk-through
 5:30 p.m. Girls race, unlimited entries
 6:00 p.m. Boys race, unlimited entries
 6:30 p.m. Awards Ceremony

SHOES
The course is flat and runs through woods and open soccer fields. Runners will be allowed to wear shoes with spikes.

WARM UP
Have your athletes warm up and cool down on the school grounds away from the course while the races are in progress.

UNIFORMS
All contestants from one team must wear identical uniforms. No sun visors, sweat bands, caps, and/or hats shall be worn during the race.

AWARDS
 Team trophies will be awarded to the winning boy’s and girl’s teams.
 First place runner shall receive a trophy
 Second place runner will receive a silver medal
 Runners 3 through 15 will receive bronze medals
 Runners 15 through 30 will receive ribbons.

TRAINER
Hamilton Heights will provide an athletic trainer for this meet.
