Game Recap

Richmond defeated your Lady Panthers 12-4 in a game where the Panthers led 2-0 after 5 innings before the Red Devils put up 7 runs in the 6th inning. They followed that up with 5 in the 7th inning. Knightstown just couldn’t string together much offense. Way worse than the loss was losing 1st baseman/Clean up hitter, Jess Butler to injury in the 3rd inning, when she got spiked at 1st base while catching a routine ball on a ground out. She had to go to the hospital and receive 10 stitches. Jess is such an integral part of everything we do, and put so much work in to being a better player every day, we all, including the coaches were a little numb after it happened, as that’s been our main goal this last week, to stay injury free. Some things we just can’t control unfortunately. The Panthers host New Castle for Senior Night Friday.
