Game Recap
The Lady Panthers lost on the road to rival Shenandoah 5-2. In a defensive struggle, neither team could muster much offense as both pitchers, Kenzie Williams for Shenandoah and Courtney Carlton for Knightstown kept hitters off balance, while scattering 7 hits apiece.. Sara Conner and Williams both had 2 hits for Shenandoah, and Carlton led the Panthers with 3. The Panthers made a bit of a rally in the 7th as Kaitlyn Jackson roped a triple, and Vivian Goodpaster, and Carlton followed with singles to bring the tying run, Georgee Lawhorne to the plate. After a good battle, she flew out on a line drive to the left fielder to end the game. The Panthers are now 9-4 on the season and have a couple days off before hosting a talented Franklin County team Friday.
