The 7th and 8th grade boys basketball teams had their annual county tourneys this weekend. The 7th grade traveled to Blue River while the 8th grade was at home.

In the first game of the 7th grade tourney, the 7th grade Panthers lost to Tri 35-32. Leading the way for the young Panthers was Charlie Moore with 13 points.  Also scoring for Knightstown was Jack Fort with 7, Chase Burton and Drew Cupp with 6 points a piece, and Matthew Craft adding 2.

In the second game, the 7th graders defeated Blue River 44-32.  Every Panther scored in the victory.  Jack Fort led the way with 12 points, followed by Caleb Pyle with 10.  Charlie Moore added 6, Matthew Craft 5, Drew Cupp 3.  Sam Good, James Lukens, and Dylan Chandler scored 2 with Landon Carmichael and Chase Burton adding 1.

The 8th grade team lost the first game of the county tourney to Tri 55-33.  Scoring for the 8th grade Panthers were: Dylan Hiner with 18, Jose Olivo with 4, Austin Campton and Ethan Yoder with 3, Jordan Baker and Hunter Clark with 2, and Trevor Cook with 1.

In the consolation game, the 8th grade Panthers were defeated 36-28.  Scoring for Knightstown were: Treavor Cook with 8, Jose Olivo, Austin Campton, and Dylan Hiner with 5, Hunter Haines with 4, and Hunter Clark with 2 points.
